SSC GD Eligibility Criteria

Before completing the application form, those who intend to sit for the SSC Constable (GD) exam in 2023 must review the SSC GD eligibility requirements. A candidate must meet several prerequisites before applying for an SSC GD position.

The following are the primary SSC GD eligibility requirements that applicants must meet:

Educational Qualification: Before applying for the GD position, candidates must hold the required educational qualification, Matriculation or 10th class pass from a recognised Board/University.

Nationality:  It is a requirement that the candidate be an Indian national. Candidates who have moved must present their residence and PRC in opposition to their state or UT.

Age Relaxation: In accordance with government directives, the upper age restriction has been lowered for SC, ST, OBC, ex-servicemen, and other groups of people.

SSC GD Exam Pattern

The selection process of SSC GD is divided into four stages:

  • Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Physical Standard Test (PST)
  • Detailed Medical Examination (DME)


Computer-Based Examination 

According to the new written test format, there will be a total of 80 questions worth a combined 160 points. The SSC GD Constable Notification 2023 written test will last a total of 60 minutes. The SSC GD 2023 Written Test will include four sections: General Knowledge (GK), Reasoning, Mathematics, and English/Hindi.
